Meet The Team

Dave Orrey ~ Managing Director ~ Mortgage & Protection Adviser

Financial Background: After 12 years working for Queen & Country as an aircraft engineer in the RAF, Dave entered the financial services as a mortgage adviser in January 1998. After the best part of 6 years working for other companies as a self employed adviser, Dave then (deciding he could do it better!) set up Eternal Growth on 1st September 2003.

Specialisms: Although Dave has 10 years experience advising on all types of mortgage and protection products, he is passionate about Property Investment and helping clients to build portfolios using very little of their own money through creative financing techniques.

Interests: Away from the office Dave is a very keen footballer & cricketer and plays for local village teams when his knees allow (years of wear & tear are catching up with him!). When he is not playing sport, there is nothing Dave likes better than watching it (Leeds fan but don’t hold it against him! Also follows Lincoln City). Other than Sport, he also loves Holidays & Travel, and likes to relax by walking his black labrador Jake and reading psychology and personal development material when he gets chance.

Steph Heron ~ Director ~ Property Letting Specialist

Financial Background: Steph also worked as an aircraft engineer for Queen & Country for 20 years where he first met Dave through their respective partners. The ‘ex Squadron Leader’ then had a brief stint as a mortgage adviser around 1999 whilst starting to develop a property portfolio, he then left the financial services to pursue a career in property letting and property investing.

Specialisms: Steph specialises in property investment and property letting and runs his own property letting business, Justlets in Peterborough which is now a successful franchise. Being involved in property on a day to day basis has allowed Steph to build and develop his own substantial portfolio whilst helping other landlords do the same.

Interests: Steph is an active Rugby player and plays most Saturdays (and suffers most Sundays & Mondays!) for Peterborough Rugby club. He also likes to Travel and is a regular skier, away from Sport, Steph devotes most of his spare time as a free taxi service to transport his 2 teenage sons Aiden & Blake to their numerous sporting and after school activities.

Elaine Bell ~ Mortgage & Protection Adviser

Financial Background: Elaine, after 17 years of fighting crime on the streets of Lincoln decided a more sedate role was needed (could be an age thing!). She studied and qualified as a mortgage advisor in 2005 and started advising in March 2006.

Specialisms: Elaine advises on all types of mortgage and protection policies. As a property investor herself, she has a wealth of knowledge in relation to buy to let mortgages and the local letting market. Through good links with local solicitors, Elaine has developed herself as the “divorce specialist” helping many clients through the difficult financial consequences of divorce.

Interests: Outside work Elaine enjoys socializing with friends, good food and good wine. She keeps fit by running, going to the gym and long walks with her beloved dog “Harvey”. Elaine also enjoys foreign travel, musical theatre and reading a good novel.

Darren Kay ~ Pensions & Investments Specialist (IFA)

Financial Background: Darren has been advising for 12 years starting with Clerical & Medical, he has worked with a major bank and progressed to IFA with national and local companies. Darren joined us at Eternal Growth in January 2008 as he enjoys the more personal and friendly attitude to financial services.

Specialisms: ADarren’s expertise lies in pensions and investments. The main areas he involves himself with is helping clients to utilise their tax allowances such as ISAs, maximise their pension opportunities and to review existing personal pensions PEPs, ISAs, UTs and Bonds. Lorraine MacDonald ~ Mortgage & Protection Adviser

Financial Background: Lorraine started her financial services career with the Halifax in 1986 where she 'learned the ropes' from inside a major product provider. In 2001 she spread her wings and became an independent mortgage & protection adviser via a local estate agent and then worked for a local IFA firm before joining Eternal Growth in August 2008.

Specialisms: Lorraine is a very experienced mortgage & protection adviser who also specialises in debt management and arrears control. As well as catering for all aspects of clients borrowing and money saving, Lorraine's favourite job is negotiating on a purchase price on behalf of her clients as she loves to bag them a bargain (this is just a free 'added value' service Lorraine offers!).

Interests: Lorraine likes to relax outside of work and spends most of her time with her little westie Bramble, who loves a good walk followed by loads of love and cuddles. Lorraine also loves to cook and enjoys a good wine, her other main interest is visiting the local odeon cinema as she is a bit of a film buff. P.S. Lorraine is also a bit of a closet 'Trekkie' but keep it to yourself!

Financial Background: Annie has an English degree, is PGCE trained (means she’s teacher qualified!) and has previously worked in the catering industry. Annie joined Eternal Growth in 2006 on a temporary basis but then forgot to leave.

Specialisms: Annie is the “backbone” of Eternal Growth, processing all of your mortgage and protection business once you have been seen by an adviser and managing the company’s relationships with all of our clients. Her background in the catering industry of course helps her supply the office with food and drink every day!

Interests: Annie is an animal lover sharing her home with her 2 cats and 2 dogs. Annie prefers her wellies to high heels and enjoys finding new places to walk her dog Asha. She also enjoys the theatre, especially anything musical and is also a keen reader although is more likely to be found with a novel rather than anything educational.

Emma Orrey ~ Office Cleaner (& Potential Future Adviser/Boss )

Financial Background: Emma has had the best financial start to life, with the expert advice coming from her dad Dave. Emma has memorized all the analogies used by Dave, her favorite being ‘cutting down the apple tree’ in terms of why you should never sell a good investment property (some of you may also know this one).

Specialisms: Emma is the person responsible for our clean and tidy office, she comes in once a week after school to make sure that the office is all spick and span, but also to keep her eye on the business and make sure everything is running smoothly, hoping that one day she can take over the reigns as boss!!

Interests: Despite her dads footballing influence, Emma is a keen Rugby fan and plays for the East Midlands Girls Team and we’ve heard she’s pretty good. Her hobbies also include shopping, reading, going to the cinema and like most teenagers, being with her friends and admiring the local talent.

Asha Gates ~ Company PR

Financial Background: Asha started her career at Eternal Growth with the occasional visit, however these visits soon became a lot more regular when she discovered the sausages that are usually kept in the fridge.

Specialisms: Asha enjoys nothing more than meeting and greeting, her favourite pastime is being cuddled and she couldn’t believe her luck when she discovered how many clients wanted to fuss over her when they came to the office. Asha enjoys following people around the office (especially those with sausages) and making people feel welcome when entering the office.

Interests: Asha enjoys long lie ins followed by a nice long walk anywhere interesting, however, she never stops working and is forever going up to people to introduce herself. Asha loves playing with other dogs and at home loves to snuggle up with her teddy. She also wanted to mention her love of doggy treats especially when clients bring them in the office for her.
