‘Our History’

Eternal Growth was established on 1st September 2003 by Dave Orrey, whom, after working for a few national and regional companies in previous years as a Mortgage and Protection Adviser, decided he could deliver a far better service, (I think many of us have reached this point working for someone else!) and Eternal Growth Financial Services was born.

Business Advice

Dave took professional consultancy advice prior to establishing the company and was strongly advised that the very first thing to do was conduct an in depth survey to find out what it is that people want most from a financial services company.

After trawling through all the feedback reports, the same 4 attributes were mentioned time and time again, in a nutshell, these were the common requests:

A company that is down to earth and whose advice you can trust.
A company that has your sole best interests at heart.
A company that provides excellent service that will go out of their way to help you.
A company that won’t pressure you but is always there when you need them.

Nothing surprising really as everybody wants to feel valued, so, armed with this feedback, Eternal Growth was established with these 4 core principles in mind.

Working from Home

The company was originally run from Dave’s home in Metheringham, 2 of the bedrooms were converted into fully functioning offices, broadband was installed and we were away. Initially the company comprised of just Dave as an adviser and Julia as a full time office manager. Everything progressed quite nicely for the next 18 months or so and then Julia was lost to maternity leave and then full time motherhood!

Julia’s exit couldn’t have come at a worst time as the company hit its busiest period yet and poor old Dave had to cope on his own with the odd bit of temporary help!

Expansion

In the autumn of 2005, Elaine joined Dave as a new adviser and began to ‘learn the ropes’. With the business now progressing nicely, the bold decision to locate to office premises was made and the quest to find a suitable location began.

New Home

On 3rd March 2006 we received the keys to our new offices on Burton Road, just off the cultural quarter of historic Lincoln. The office was formerly a residential dwelling which we then converted over the following 2 months (at quite a lot of expense!) into a full office premises comprising of a reception, kitchen facility, 2 consultation rooms and 2 adviser rooms. We also recruited Rachel as our full time office manager to help with the general running of the office and administration support.

More staff

In August of 2006, Annie joined us to replace Rachel (now also a mum, hold on there’s a pattern emerging!), and in December of 2006 after an excellent first year in the premises, we took on Chris as business development manager to help with the increased workload and to increase our profile locally. In addition to Chris, Stuart also joined as an additional mortgage & protection adviser giving us 5 staff in total.

Record Year 2007 & Full IFA status

2007 was a record year for business growth and culminated in the acquisition of 2 more experienced advisers in Darren & Steve that enabled us to offer advice on Pensions & Investments and Private Medical Insurance to compliment our existing services and give us full Independent Financial Advice status.

Why the name Eternal Growth?

We get asked this quite a lot, here goes.

With Eternal meaning forever, Eternal Growth is literally translated as ‘forever growing’ which is derived from the universal law of polarity.

To quote Albert Einstein “the universal law of polarity states that everything (i.e. all particles of matter) are either growing or dying, whether it’s relationships, professions, business’s, investments etc, if they’re not going in one direction they must be, by law, going in the other, even though they often appear to be standing still. Maintaining continual growth requires continual sustained effort and monitoring”.

Hence, continued effort and monitoring of your personal financial needs is essential to help you achieve Eternal Financial Growth and that’s what we are here for.
